La Poire Beurrée d'Amanlis, native de la commune, est née d'un semis au début du XIX° siècle.

Si son découvreur n'a malheureusement pas laissé son nom à l'histoire de cette poire, il est raconté que le pied-mère de la Beurrée d'Amanlis est longtemps resté visible et avait atteint une taille énorme ; peut-être est-il encore existant dans le jardin qui le vit naître.

L'arbre possède une stature impressionnante et est toujours fort vigoureux, de belle récolte régulière et abondante.
