⌘ Étymologies et toponymes

Оха - Okha doit son nom au fleuve irrigant ces lieux.

Le fleuve Оха - Okha, long de 6,5 km, prend source dans l'Alpasse, montagne peu éloignée. Les suintements pétroliers altérant la qualité des eaux de ce fleuve côtier, les évenks le nommèrent Охэ - Okhė - insipide, sans goût.

C'est en 1892 que furent bâties les premières isbas en ces lieux où, semble-t-il, existait un campement évenk dont nous n'avons retrouvé le toponyme. Au même moment, apparurent les premiers puits de pétrole et cette région bien pourvue de cette roche liquide.
