 Musicien - Ciboure : 07-03-1875 - Paris : 28-12-1937

Joseph-Maurice Ravel, plus connu sous le nom de compositeur Maurice Ravel, est natif de Ciboure, commune dans laquelle il est né le 7 mars 1875 pour décéder à Paris le 28 décembre 1937. Bien qu'ayant un peu moins composé que ses contemporains, l'œuvre de Maurice Ravel est riche et variée; le compositeur ayant exploré quasiment tous les genres musicaux. Si peu de ses compositions sont tombées dans l'oubli, son œuvre la plus connue reste le fameux Boléro qui fit son succès. Maurice Ravel a fait naitre plus d'une centaine de compositions.
