Autrefois, quand l'enfer était réalité pour les esprits, le Démon, Roi des Enfers, avait cour et palais, ducs, marquis, autres comtes et armées organisées à sa disposition. Tous ces démons avaient nom, description et habillement. Abigor est l'un d'eux et, comme les démons se déplacent librement, il peut aussi se balader à Armissan. Nous souhaitions vous prévenir !

◎ Abracax

Abracax, tel que nous le trouvons décrit en 1860, est un dieu proche oriental dont le nom fera naître notre Abracadabra. La formule Abracadabra, écrite sur parchemin et intégrée à un phylactère, est une formule magique qui soigne tout et rien, avec une efficacité scientifiquement démontrée pour le Rien.

La représentation la plus courante de ce dieu pour les uns, et démon pour les autres, est un roi couronné au corps ventripotent et pieds de serpents.

Il semble, pour les Basilidiens, qu'Abracax avait 365 génies sous ses ordres ; ils présidaient à la vertu qui leur était assignée. De même, il semble qu'ils considéraient Jésus-Christ comme un bon fantôme envoyé sur la terre par Abracax.
