Beaumont-sur-Oise est une jolie petite ville, agréablement située sur la croupe d'une montagne au pied de laquelle passe l'Oise.

Elle est assez bien bâtie, et dominée par une vieille tour en ruine, seul reste de son ancien château. Sur un des côtés de la ville règne une jolie promenade en terrasse, d'où l'on jouit d'une vue agréable sur la riche vallée de l'Oise

Beaumont-sur-Oise est à 8 lieues de Paris.
