Aimons-nous; le bonheur de tous nous y convie;
C’est-là le seul remède à nos communs malheurs.
La terre but assez et de sang et de pleurs ;
Qu’elle respire enfin, calme, heureuse, ravie !

Chrétiens, réalisons cette fraternité
A laquelle appelait toute l’humanité
Le Sauveur, à la fin d’une agonie amère;

. Lorsque Marie et Jean recueillaient, sous la croix,
Ces mots, réglant de tous les devoirs et les droits:
« Femme! voilà ton fils ; homme ! voilà ta mère. »
