Ciel bleu profond, le jour, ciel or dans la nuit sombre,
Monts de neige l'hiver et de fleurs le printemps,
Sources au bel azur, aux murmures constants;
Ruisseaux clairs, babillards, aux méandres sans nombre.

Vallons pleins de parfums, où le soleil et l'ombre
Par leurs bienfaits divers charment tous les instants;
Oiseaux gais, au vol vif, aux trilles éclatants,
Dont le nombre obscurcit la forêt et l'encombre...

Voila ce qui te fait, Prapic, un beau décor;
Mais tes rocs, tes torrents t'embellissent encor:
Tes sites merveilleux font s'extasier l'âme...

Puis de l'amour des tiens tu veux être vainqueur,
Tu tiens tant à ce droit que, redoutant ton blâme,
Je n'ai jamais osé te demander mon cœur.
