En 2013, Catherine Soissons a choisi de venir vivre en Gironde, au Teich, pour créer et vivre en osmose avec cette nature qu’elle aime tant.

Ses longs et différents séjours dans différentes régions de France, en Guinée, en Tunisie, en Norvège au Japon et en Corée lui ont permis de développer son parcours artistique autodidacte. Cela, grâce à la rencontre de personnes et à l’inspiration de tant de paysages divers...

Elle aime créer, assembler, creuser, coller, découper, frotter, gratter, récupérer mais toucher, surtout.

Ses sculptures sont un moyen d'expression de grande liberté où se mêlent l'observation, la rigueur et l'intimité. Travaillant l’argile, le calcaire et autres matériaux, elle n’a pas de style particulier mais, aimant surtout les courbes, peu d’angles se retrouvent dans ses créations.

Les matériaux permettant de laisser libre cours à son inspiration étant infinis, les nouvelles expériences la tentent toujours autant. Elle aime travailler des grandes structures et faire des bonhommes carnavals.

Elle a fait une approche sur du papier de riz et elle espère maîtriser d’autres techniques.

Aimant partager ses connaissances, elle propose des ateliers de modelage.
