Depuis Jaffa, livrés par la foule haineuse
Aux affres de la mer, la Phalange fameuse
Fut hospitalisée au milieu des Pêcheurs,
Dont la plage accueillit les cuvants voyageurs

Marthe, sa sœur Marie, illustre pénitente,
Et Lazare,leur frère, avec leur intendante,
Marcelle, Parménas, Trophime et Maximin
Sarah la bohémienne, Eutrope, Saturnin,
Et tous les Fugitifs de cette Colonie
Chargés d'un sacerdoce, au nom de Béthanie,
Débarquaient en ce port, pressés de parcourir,
Pour gagner à leur foi, la Gaule à conquérir.
