Asnières-sur-Oise est un village situé près de la rive gauche de l'Oise. C'était jadis une terre royale où Louis IX et quelques-uns de ses successeurs résidèrent souvent. Parmi les nombreuses maisons de plaisance qui embellissent ses alentours, on cite le Château de Touteville, le Château de la Reine Blanche, et celui de Lacommézie.

Royaumont est un joli village dépendant de la commune d'Asnières, où existait autrefois une célèbre abbaye fondée par saint Louis. Une superbe filature, des fabriques de tissus, une blanchisserie de toiles, ont remplacé cet ancien monastère, et vivifient les villages des environs.

Asnières-sur-Oise est à 8 lieues 1/2 de Paris.
